Resources for a Writing Class Project using Glogster

Let's try to use this as a place to share our feedback and ideas regarding a writing project. A few teachers have suggested some additional ideas/tasks to add to the list in the assignment document.

Please upload your rubrics for others to use/review.

Here's a worksheet created by Jozen for students who needed more structure:

If they want to include images with text, they can create slides in PowerPoint, save as jpegs, and upload into this program. Here's an example of a video I made using a template, photos, and music available on the website.

Using this website, students can generate their own graphic organizers (GOs) with text and images. It's free and easy, and can be an alternative to Inspiration if all you are looking for is a GO. Here's an example of a really corny Popplet. I was able to find pictures through Flickr, but the search is not that accurate. Students should probably have their photos selected and available on their computer before making a Popplet for their project. They can use text only as well.

http://www.bibme.org/ - help students to create formatted bibliographies which can be downloaded for free.
http://www.xtranormal.com - students can create their own digital movies after setting up an account. They choose the setting, background, characters, etc. They write the dialogue and put it all together to make a short movie. Here's an example. This web site works on a points basis and students can only do so much for free.
